MUSIC & ARTS
2017 "Liveliest Library," Yankee Magazine
Burlington has an incredible music and arts scene, ranging from basement jam bands to Dick Dale inspired trios, orchestras to street performers. Nationally recognized museums have as much clout in our city as artist collectives. There is no lack of creative juice and you'll find it flowing in the streets of Burlington. Home to world-wide sensations like Phish and Grace Potter-- it might just be worth planning a trip around what you'll hear and see instead of what you'll eat and drink. Put on your dancing shoes, grab a seat at a theatre or shimmy up next to a stranger in a crowd, here's what going on in our neck of the woods.

The Queen City might be Vermont's shining star, but there's so much more to see throughout the state. If you have time in your day and can squeeze in some adventure outside of the Burlington area it will be well worth it. Why not extend your two-night stay to a three-night?

“Top 10 Winter Destination” by Travel & Table for Chase Sapphire. (2012)
It would be hard to visit Burlington without getting the itch to explore it's natural beauty. Even within the city boundaries there are amazing places to get outdoors, enjoy the fresh air and take in the sights of our great little state. If you have a bike and can bring it along, do! Rollerblades? Sure! If you're the gear-less type, bring some walking shoes and take a stroll. Our neighborhoods are historic, a path runs along the waterfront for miles and if you're truly feeling adventurous you can do it all in the buff. Burlington's public nudity law allowing Vermonter's to stroll about town al fresco is NOT a myth, but you must leave the property nude!
