WHAT TO DO (OR DRINK) IN BURLINGTON WHEN IT’S RAINING
Posted by: Linda Wolf
So, you wake up in Burlington’s only all-inclusive, historic, luxury bed and breakfast and the rain is coming down… first, throw on your cozy robe and slippers and enjoy a gourmet breakfast in our cafe. Second, do as the locals do. Lazily shower and dress for the day, grab tickets for a matinee movie at the Roxy followed by lunch at El Cortijo, Penny Cluse or start your drinking early and kill two birds with one stone at the Farmhouse Tap & Grill or Citizen Cider (both serving food and adult refreshments). If you want to keep the good times flowing, visit the numerous Burlington breweries and craft cocktail bars dotting our streets. Burlington and the surrounding areas are home to some of the best beers in the country. And, while Vermont is a great place to get outside and enjoy Lake Champlain, Shelburne Farms and the Green Mountains when the sun is shining, it casts a bit of a dark cloud on those rainy days. But, have no fear…we’re here to give you the low-down on the best places the locals go to quench their thirst, stock up their beer supply and socialize.
